Quality Assurance

Double 'D' International Food Co, Inc. has established a Quality Assurance Program that helps to promote continuous improvement. Our HAACP approved manufacturers must have strict policies with regard to sanitation, rodents, pathogens and no recalls within the last 36 months. Food Safety has always been a top priority for Double 'D' International Food Co., Inc.

The Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) process is a preventive system for assuring the safe production of food products. The Double 'D' International Food Co., Inc. computer inventory system allows for product and lot traceability to the customer level within hours.

Recall Procedures

The purpose of this procedure is to provide for our customers an orderly process in the identification, location and recovery of any product handled by Double 'D' International Food Co., Inc., which is deemed necessary to withdraw or recall from the marketplace for any reason. Roles and responsibilities are specified in this regard as well as a regular and systematic process for evaluation of recall readiness and thoroughness.

General Recall Procedure:

  1. Double 'D' International Food Co., Inc. receives notification of recall from our HACCP approved manufacturer. This manufacturer should provide product code, date code, lot number, and quantities.
  2. Double 'D' International Food Co., Inc. contacts warehouse and Customer.
  3. Manufacturer and warehouse identify the urgency of the recall by providing current product inventories and shipment history of the lots to be recalled.
  4. Warehouse Inventory Control will audit and account for remaining inventory in facility and segregate and the the pallets of product with a Bright Orange or Red Hold Tag that is to be placed on all four sides of the pallets.
  5. In the event this product has been committed to orders or picked and staged ready for shipment the product will be pulled from the orders even if they are already loaded and returned to storage with hold tags placed on it.
  6. If any of the products have been shipped the carrier will be contacted immediately with instructions to cancel delivery.
  7. Communication between the manufacturer, Double 'D' International Food Co., Inc. and customer must be constant.
  8. Termination of Recall must be submitted by manufacturer in writing or instructions for disposal given.
